Workshops & School incursions

Community workshops

Looking to bring people together and brighten your space? Father Marker’s Community Mural Workshops are all about connection, creativity, and colour. Led by Melbourne muralist Tyson Savanah (aka Father Marker), these workshops invite people of all ages and backgrounds—youth services, community groups, corporate teams, aged care residents—to co-create large-scale artworks that reflect local stories, values, and identity.

This isn’t just a paint-by-numbers session. It’s a hands-on creative journey where everyone—from first-time painters to seasoned sketchers—gets to shape the final result. Whether it’s a single-day splash of inspiration or a multi-session deep dive, every mural is built on ideas from the people who live, work, and belong in the space.

Tyson is a highly respectable, talented, warm, approachable, reliable, dilligent and engaging artist who has proven to be an amazing mentor, working with groups or in a one on one capacity

School Incursion Workshops

Father Marker's School Street Art Workshops offer a dynamic, collaborative mural experience for primary and secondary schools across Melbourne. Led by professional muralist Tyson Savanah (Father Marker), these workshops empower students through hands-on creative expression while transforming school spaces into vibrant, meaningful artworks.

Workshop Program Overview

Concept + Collaboration
We kick off with guided brainstorming to explore themes, values, and stories that matter to your group. Sketching, colour play, and creative planning come together to shape a shared vision.

Design + Prep
We refine your group’s ideas into a mural design—mood boards, digital mockups, and colour palettes included. The wall (or panels) are prepped and ready for paint.

Paint + Create
It’s go time. With expert guidance from Tyson, participants learn mural techniques—spray paint, brushwork, stencils—and bring the artwork to life safely and confidently.

Celebrate + Reflect
Wrap it all up with a celebration of what you’ve made together. Photos, reflections, and a vibrant mural left behind as a lasting symbol of creativity and community pride.
