This piece was painted in honour of my new goddaughter, Ixta, the daughter of my dear friends Kunal and Laura. I chose the sulphur-crested cockatoo—cheeky, clever, and full of character—as a symbol of the wisdom, transformation, and joy I see in her and her parents.

I challenged myself to break away from tight detail and embrace a looser, more expressive style—letting the energy of the moment guide my brush and spray can. A piece full of love, playfulness, and golden promise.
